Lumiri Tubo brings soulful and heartfelt renditions of contemporary, jazz, blues, and popular standards to The Eldred Preserve on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.
An accomplished actress and singer, Tubo has lived in Sullivan County for most of her life. She kicked off her cabaret career at the Bradstan Country Hotel over 20 years ago, and has been dazzling audiences with her vocal performances and theatrical productions, including “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” “The King and I,” and “A Raisin in the Sun,” ever since.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lumiri back to Bradstan Cabaret with open arms,” said Chief Operating Officer Scott Samuelson. “Whether you’re seeing her perform for the first time or the fiftieth, her impressive vocals are sure to blow you away!”
Regarded as “a compelling singer who brings her own style to every nuance and colorful passage,” by Backstage magazine, Tubo’s honest and pure emotional interpretations, coupled with her outstanding vocal ability, have earned her multiple awards, including a Bistro Award and the prestigious MAC Hanson Award.
The 2023 Bradstan Cabaret Series lineup also includes returning favorites like Jeanne MacDonald and the Callaway sisters (Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway), and welcomes other artists like Sally Mayes, and comedian Tom Cotter.
