13th Annual Summer Fun Fair
Visit the Kadampa World Peace Temple in Glen Spey, NY for our 13th Annual Fun Fair on Saturday July 6th, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Enjoy this community extravaganza featuring fresh vegetarian food and juice bar, artist vendors, music, and a variety of activities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Named River Reporter’s “Best Meditation Center,” spend the entire day relaxing and exploring the 82 acres of natural beauty including three onsite nature trails. Inside the World Peace Temple drop into a guided meditation and temple tour offered hourly throughout the fair or peruse the gift shop and Buddhist Bookstore. The World Peace Cafe & Espresso Bar, located in the Lodge, features organic, locally roasted coffee and will be offering gourmet desserts and treats as well as views of the pristine natural surroundings.
Kids and families are welcome and can enjoy an entire day of entertainment for children. The kid’s carnival features fair games, kids’ hike, storytelling, various craft tables, and more.
Visitors are also welcome to make a weekend of it to fully experience all that the Kadampa World Peace Temple has to offer. On Sunday attend a meditation class and teaching called “Prayers for World Peace” (by donation) held from 11:00 a.m – 12:30 p.m. At 1:00 p.m.. will be a community vegetarian lunch ($7). Take an additional day to explore the beautiful grounds onsite.
Accommodations, including camping, are available before and after the event. Come early, stay late, and take full advantage of this great summer weekend with something for the whole family.
