ABOUT THE GUTHRIE BROTHERS

Prepare to fall in love again with the music of Simon & Garfunkel. From their first startlingly authentic rendition of Sound of Silence, to their playful version of Cecilia, Jeb Guthrie and Jock Guthrie will have every audience member smiling and singing along as they pay homage to the music of Simon & Garfunkel and highlight the brothers’ deep spiritual connection to this music, and to the 60s, the period that made it all happen.

The brothers have been singing together for as long as either one of them can remember-–a major reason for the perfect blend of their harmonies. The Guthries’ original music received national attention with the release of their self-titled, debut album. The album garnered extensive airplay on both Americana and Country radio stations. “Many stations will find the well-written, heartfelt lyrics and wonderful harmonies a welcome addition to their airwaves,” wrote Billboard magazine about the album. The album has been re-released and is available online at the iTunes Music Store, Spotify, and Amazon Music.

Over the years, The Guthrie Brothers have been featured on recordings by John Phillips, Cameo, Felix Cavaliere and Joe Lynn Turner, and have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with John Mellencamp, Taj Mahal, Peter Yarrow, Charlie Pride, Joan Osborne, Lisa Loeb, Steve Forbert, Maria Muldaur, Jon Pousette-Dart, Bryan White + John Berry, among others. Their music was also featured in several episodes of the NBC hit television series Las Vegas + in the feature film “Some Fish Can Fly.”
