ELDRED, N.Y. – May 9, 2022 – The Eldred Preserve is delighted to announce that nearly 15 years after the final curtain fell at The Bradstan Country Hotel’s Inn Cabaret Series, the famous Bradstan Cabaret is back.
The Bradstan’s New York City-caliber cabaret series has been revived as The Bradstan Coming Home Cabaret Series, and is taking center stage at The Eldred Preserve. The series is hosted by Chief Operating Officer Scott Samuelson and Bradstan General Manager Edward Dudek, the original hosts of the Inn Cabaret Series.
“We are beyond excited to continue the tradition of cabaret that has been held closely to our hearts for decades,” said Samuelson. “We’ve envisioned the revival of the cabaret series at The Eldred Preserve since the resort’s conception, and are thrilled to finally see it come to fruition.”
Dudek, a dancer, and Samuelson, a singer, began the original cabaret series at The Bradstan Country Hotel in 1991 when they converted the large parlor into a cabaret room and piano bar. The cabaret series was a success, becoming an annual tradition that was a favorite amongst both tourists and locals, including The Eldred Preserve founders Dan and Joan Silna.
“Cabaret allows performers to create such a unique connection with the audience,” said Dudek. “We can’t wait to share our love for cabaret with lifelong enthusiasts, as well as spark an appreciation for this artform in a new generation.”
The series will open on May 29 with the legendary Karen Mason, called “An American Idol” by The New York Times. Mason will perform her show “Kander & Ebb…And All That Jazz,” which honors John Kander and Fred Ebb, the Tony Award-winning songwriters behind Broadway’s Cabaret, Chicago, and more. As one of the original stars of the off-Broadway Kander & Ebb revue of And The World Goes ‘Round, Mason has a personal connection to these legends and their music.
Mason, who performed often at the original iteration of The Bradstan Country Hotel’s Inn Cabaret Series, is the star of Broadway’s Mamma Mia!, Wonderland, Hairspray, and Sunset Boulevard, as well as the first U.S. tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies.
The Bradstan Coming Home Cabaret Series will feature 11 performances this season across various genres. The star-studded lineup includes familiar favorites from the original Inn Cabaret Series, including Mason, Jeanne MacDonald, Liz Callaway, and Ann Hampton Callaway. Guests can also enjoy John Pinto Jr. + Jaron Barney, Joey + The Paradons, The Guthrie Brothers, and more.
Tickets are available in two tiers—premium or general admission—and include access to meet and greets with the evening’s performer(s), as well as the opportunity to purchase autographed CDs (when applicable). Tickets are on sale now at theeldredpreserve.com/2022cabaret.
