Broadway star Sally Mayes — a Tony Award-nominated actress and singer — is bringing her “’incandescent, deliciously saucy” performance to The Eldred Preserve on Sunday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m.
Mayes made her Broadway debut in Cy Coleman’s “Welcome To The Club,” which won her widespread critical praise, a Theater World Award, and an Outer Critics Circle nomination as one of Broadway’s Outstanding Newcomers.
“Sally is a stage, screen, and television legend,” said Chief Operating Officer Scott Samuelson. “Her rich voice and sheer vocal power will blow the audience away, resulting in a truly unforgettable evening.”
The recipient of 12 MAC Award nominations and two Bistro Award wins for excellence in cabaret and recording, Mayes is best known for her Broadway performance in the Roundabout Theater revival of “She Loves Me” — for which she scored Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle nominations.
Her additional notable performances include the Broadway revival of “Steel Magnolias,” in addition to her many television credits, which include the likes of “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” “Sex and the City,” and more.
The 2023 Bradstan Cabaret Series lineup also includes returning favorites like Jeanne MacDonald and the Callaway sisters (Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway), as well as newcomer comedian Tom Cotter.
