Steven Brinberg brings Barbra Streisand Tribute Show to The Eldred Preserve

Steven Brinberg brings his hilarious and ever-evolving tribute to Barbra Streisand, “Simply Barbra,” to The Eldred Preserve on Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m.

Brinberg has perfected his live vocal and comic impression of Streisand over the show’s 20-year run, which originated in his native New York before touring internationally in even more cities than Streisand herself.

“You don’t need to be a Streisand fan to appreciate Steven’s extraordinary stage presence, musical talent, and humor as he celebrates the legend that is Barbra Streisand,” said Chief Operating Officer Scott Samuelson. “We are delighted to welcome ‘Simply Barbra’ home to New York — this time in the Sullivan County Catskills at The Eldred Preserve.”

The constantly-updated show — which features just Brinberg’s Barbra and a pianist — has earned two MAC Awards, a Bistro Award, and was nominated for a 2018 Robby Award for Theater and Cabaret.

Brinberg is no stranger to the stage. For over a decade, he toured with Marvin Hamlisch and his symphony orchestra as a special guest star. He also performed at Stephen Sondheim’s birthday concert at the Library of Congress, at Carnegie Hall with Uptown Express, and on Broadway in the concert version of “Funny Girl” with Whoopi Goldberg. Brinberg has also performed at special events for such notables as Donna Karan, Joan Rivers, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Liza Minnelli.

The 2023 Bradstan Cabaret Series lineup also includes returning favorites like Jeanne MacDonald and the Callaway sisters (Liz and Ann Hampton Callaway), and welcomes other artists like Sally Mayes, Mark Nadler, Lumiri Tubo, and comedian Tom Cotter.
