The Eldred Preserve is proud to announce the opening night of The Bradstan Cabaret Series with a once-in-a-generation evening featuring cabaret icon Marilyn Maye on Sunday, May 24. A GRAMMY-nominated recording artist and Tonight Show record-holder, Maye brings the Great American Songbook—alongside stories and anecdotes from her extraordinary career—to the Catskills. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and this intimate performance that marks the launch of this year’s highly anticipated season starts at 7 p.m.
Dubbed “the greatest white female singer in the world” by Ella Fitzgerald, Maye is a celebrated singer, actress, director, and educator whose presence transforms a performance into a true event. Known as the “Super Singer” by Johnny Carson, Maye holds the record for the most guest appearances by a singer on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson—an extraordinary 76 performances.
“This is the kind of night you tell people about,” said Scott Samuelson, chief operating officer of The Eldred Preserve. “The Bradstan stage gives audiences something rare—proximity to an artist of Marilyn’s caliber in a room where every lyric and every aside hits closer. Opening our series with a performer of Maye’s stature signals exactly what we want this space to become.”
Tickets are on sale now at theeldredpreserve.com/cabaret. Guests may choose from premium admission, offering a close-up and intimate experience, or general admission, allowing for a laid-back evening with a full view of the room.
Ticket holders receive 15% off food purchases made before the show. Guests are encouraged to dine at The Homestead Dining Room (reservations via OpenTable) or may arrive early when doors open at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy drinks and The Lounge menu directly at their seats in the Cabaret Room.
