The Eldred Preserve welcomes acclaimed vocalist Jeanne MacDonald back to The Bradstan Cabaret Series on Sunday, Sept. 6, for an intimate evening of storytelling through song spanning jazz and musical theater. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with showtime at 7 p.m.
A graduate of the Crane School of Music, MacDonald has deep artistic ties to Sullivan County. She first developed her craft at the original Bradstan Country Hotel and later recorded her album “Live at the Bradstan” there.
Known for her ability to uncover the humor, emotion, and meaning within a lyric, MacDonald has earned recognition throughout the cabaret community. Her debut CD, “Company,” produced and arranged by Rick Jensen, received a MAC nomination for Recording of the Year.
MacDonald has performed at prominent New York City venues including the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel and the Metropolitan Room. Her honors include the MAC Award for Female Vocalist, the Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist, the MAC Hanson Award, and the Julie Wilson Award at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
“Jeanne’s connection to The Bradstan runs deep,” said Scott Samuelson, chief operating officer of The Eldred Preserve. “She brings intelligence, warmth, and extraordinary attention to every song, creating the kind of personal connection that makes cabaret so special.”
